Three guys met at a blended family party in New Jersey standing around a kitchen island, bored out of their minds with all the nonsense conversation noise.  One guy mentioned Social D in a random part of the conversation.  Another perked, saw a possible light out of that boring mundane suburban situation and said “Hey, do you want to listen to some music in my soundproof music shed?” At the backside of a full acre property, on a cold snowy winter night, the three of us, plus a 9-year old boy that was tired of the stupid gossip conversation too, hiked thru the snow to the “shed”; and, on that night… Halfway To Dead was formed.  First, playing covers thru a shitty 80’s sound system with a humming generator outside. Three years and a divorce later, HWTD recorded their first of 80+ songs at Retromedia Studios in Asbury Park, NJ.  Appropriate enough, that first night of recording was on 12/12/12… the supposed END OF DAYS prophecy.  We are still here.  And, we are still halfway to dead.
